After the prayer for Charlee’s safe return, the community of the young girl is now praying for Charlee to experience a speedy and complete recovery. Chesher in particular cannot stop praising God for keeping her great-granddaughter safe. She stressed that Charlee leads a typical life and has admiring friends. Chesher continued, “But my daughter absolutely has to get herself together and take care of herself. This might play a role in the Sheriff’s decision to press charges for carelessness in this situation. Charlee is currently under the care of Child Protective Services.

Sheriff Tinnell was adamant that he thought the girl’s abduction had anything to do with a custody battle. Where Charlee was during her disappearance and whether or not she was outside in the woods the entire time were still unknown. The sheriff announced that Child Protective Services will also be engaged and that the criminal probe will go on. Criminal charges have not yet been brought. The fact that Charlee has been brought back to them by their new hero, Penny, has still brought relief to Charlee’s family. After considering the potential that they would no longer be able to see their child, that is all that matters to them.
