“It’s been the most terrifying experience my entire family has ever had.” This entire scenario of them kidnapping her and sheltering her, the FBI showing there, and then dropping her off in the woods… “That’s crazy,” Charlee’s great grandma, Lisa Chesher, said. The entire family was relieved to see their infant alive and healthy. As if what they had just gone through wasn’t bad enough, they were handed another nightmare to deal with. “Seeing how Sheriff Tinnell is painting my daughter and granddaughter is not fair,” Chesher continued. They are once again confronted with a fresh struggle.

While Charlee’s homecoming is a major accomplishment, some individuals are still unable to let go of the mystery. On Saturday, the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office went out to look for further information. Sheriff Donnie Tinnell arrived at Brown’s Roy Layne Road residence to conduct a foot search down the hill to Charlee’s home. The BCSO continued to dig for more in the hopes of locating footprints or odours using dogs. Simply seeing the missing girl was insufficient for them, especially given their own experiences on the land where she was thought to be.
