Julian’s first album, “Valotte,” was a tremendous success in 1984, earning him two top ten singles and a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. His succeeding albums, however, were not as well received. Julian took a break from the music industry in 1991. Over a decade later, in 2002, he released a revised version of “When I’m Sixty-Four.” In 2009, he founded the White Feather Foundation, a charity or environmental group named after a story his father told him. Julian opened a show of 35 photos, including his collection of Beatles memorabilia, to commemorate his father’s birth on the 70th anniversary of his birth in 2010. “Timeless: The Photography of Julian Lennon” is a book on Julian Lennon’s photography.

Zak Starkey

Parents: Ringo Starr and Maureen Cox

Born: September 13, 1965

After being married earlier that year, Ringo Starr and Maureen Starkey brought their first child, Zak, into the world. Despite his father’s best efforts to keep him out of the increasingly stressful music business, Zak couldn’t help but be fascinated by his father’s drums. After all, when he was eight years old, his godfather Keith Moon (of The Who) gave him a drum kit. It’s no surprise that the kid was interested in drums and rock ‘n’ roll because of his father and godfather. Since his parents divorced in 1975, he has been interested in it. He was a member of his father’s All-Starr Party and then the Icicle Works.
