Inoki started fighting Sammartino on the sideline in a tag team match, so the Italian Strongman’s response was putting Inoki in a headlock, nearly incapacitating the Japanese wrestler. While the two never made up, they also never had other problems with each other professionally.

Bill Goldberg Versus Steven Regal
Goldberg was a WCW rookie with a winning streak when he was scheduled to fight Steven. The reports are conflicting about why Regal went off-script, but he practically blindsided Goldberg with moves that the youngster had not seen before.
According to Regal, the higher-ups told him to make the fight a six-minute match, but the problem is that nobody told Goldberg, which turned this routine fight into some real life scuffle in the ring. It was hard for Goldberg to match up with Regal, who made everyone see that the young buck was still not ready to join the big boys just yet.
